CUTEK® Extreme is a high-performance, oil-based wood stabilizer with a unique self-healing effect. Penetrating deeply into the wood, CUTEK® Extreme highlights wood's natural grain and beauty while providing robust and long-lasting protection. CUTEK® Extreme will not flake or peel and maintenance is fast and simple – no need to sand or strip.
CUTEK® Extreme diffuses throughout wood to control liquid and gas phase moisture, to minimize warping, cupping, and splitting. By improving the dimensional stability of wood, it improves the service life of your wood.
CUTEK® Extreme enhances the natural beauty, grain, and texture of wood. Applied as a clear oil, it will allow wood to naturally silver over time. Mixing in one of the 18 CUTEK® Colourtones will help to enhance and maintain the freshly oiled natural look of your wood or alter your wood colour to meet your design requirements.
IMPORTANT: Wood that is coated with Cutek Extreme will gradually silver over time on exposure to sunlight, while remaining dimensionally stable. If this natural silvering of the surface is undesirable, then a colourtone (sold separately) must be added to delay the silvering process and enhance the natural character and colour of the wood. Colourtoned Cutek Extreme can still look like a clear finish, depending on the colourtone selected.
Other treatments darkened with age but Cutek doesn't. It's left my Cumare deck a beautiful brown for up to 3 years without reapplying, I also use it on a smaller cedar porch and on the cedar clapboards on the house and both look great.
It's the second time i purchased the Cutek Extreme Exterior Wood Protection Oil.
I used it on my treated deck planks and on my untreated cedar fencing. It covered about 400 sqft, looks so great, and time will tell if i choose the right product.
In today's world, excessive packaging is causing literally millions of unnecessary truck train plane and ship trips. This is so bad the world could remove 30% of global warming gasses by forcing manufacturers to have containers 95% full. The products I bought were packaged with Styrofoam peanuts. Replace with paper please, and minimize your packaging so 95% of your product fills the package.
