I have used ash black for deck railings and stairs, and smokey ash for the deck boards. It does take 2 coats to get the colour's dark enough.
I could not be happier with how easy it was to apply, and how great it looks
The stain goes on easy and is beautiful to look at. I used the ash black on the railings and it requires 2 coats to be somewhat black. I used smokey gray on the deck boards and also requires 2 coat to be a light brown gray. Finished product looks amazing.
