The Marksman Pro X1 and X2 are the same tool as the Pro — same clamp, same dual screw guides, same heavy-duty steel — sold with a different gap-spec guide block. Pro X1 Guide sets a 1/16 in. (1.58mm) gap, designed for treated lumber that shrinks as it dries (a tighter starting gap opens up to ~1/4 in. as the wood loses moisture). Pro X2 Guide sets a 1/8 in. (3mm) gap — the default for many capped composite manufacturers. If you've already got a Marksman Pro, you can buy just the alternate guide block. If your deck boards are narrower than 5-1/4 in., the standard Pro / X1 / X2 guides won't fit. The Pro NB Guide is the Marksman accessory designed for narrow boards: any 3-1/4 in. (83mm) to 5 in. (127mm) board, automatic 3/16 in. (5mm) gap. Common applications: 1×4 cedar (3-1/2 in. actual), 5/4×4 treated (3-1/2 in.), narrow hardwood like ipe at 4 in., narrower composite SKUs from Eva-Last and others. The consumable side of the tool family — bits wear out, especially on hardwood. Marksman driver bit — T15 star, 3 in. (76mm), built-in shoulder for automatic depth-of-drive, sold as a 2-pack. Critical: the bit for grooved boards has a higher shoulder than the bit for square-edge / solid boards — the two are not interchangeable, and using the wrong one damages your boards. No — TUDS does not rent tools. Both Marksman Pro and DRIVE / ClipDRIVE are sold outright. The Marksman Pro is at a price point that's reasonable for a single-deck DIYer to buy, use, and either keep, sell on Marketplace, or lend to a friend. The DRIVE / ClipDRIVE are productivity tools priced for contractors who'll amortize them over multiple builds. If renting is what you need, your local equipment-rental yard is the right call — or buy the Marksman, sell it after.

The Camo Marksman driver bit (T15 star, 3 in. / 76mm, sold as a 2-pack with built-in shoulder for automatic depth-of-drive). Critical detail: there is one Marksman bit for grooved boards and a different Marksman bit for square-edge / solid boards — the bit for grooved boards has a higher shoulder than the bit for solid boards. They are not interchangeable. Buy the right one with your screws. The DRIVE uses its own replacement bits (T15 for edge / clip, T20 for face). For dense tropical decking like ipe, also pick up the Camo hardwood pre-drill bit.

The cordless tools — DRIVE and ClipDRIVE — both carry a 1-year tool warranty from Camo (National Nail). The Marksman Pro is a heavy-duty contractor-grade frame; manufacturer support runs through National Nail. Important: an impact driver voids the warranty on any Camo tool — Camo specifies standard drill only. If a Camo tool fails on a TUDS-purchased project and you need to start a claim, call either store and we'll walk you through what Camo will ask for (proof of purchase, drill type used, install pattern).
