Every eligible retail purchase from TUDS in Regina, Saskatoon or at tuds.ca during 2026 is an automatic entry. That means an invoice paid in full, or a signed contract for a future build with a deposit paid. No purchase necessary: you can also enter by mail (see the official rules).
What does the winner get?
The pre-tax amount of their largest single eligible invoice, up to $10,000. Separate invoices aren't added together. If the winner entered only by mail, they receive a $250 TUDS gift card.
When does it end and when is the draw?

Who can enter?
Retail customers who live in Canada (excluding Quebec) and are the age of majority. Contractor, trade and discount-tier accounts don't earn purchase entries but can still enter by mail.

1. Sponsor
The contest is run by The Ultimate Deck Shop Inc. ("TUDS" or the "Sponsor"), 141 4th Ave East, Regina, SK S4N 4Z9 and 320 68th St, Saskatoon, SK S7P 0C3.
2. Contest Period
The contest starts January 1, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST) and ends December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CST (the "Contest Period"). The Sponsor's clock is the official timekeeper.
3. Who Can Enter
The contest is open to residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence when they enter.
The following people are not eligible: employees, owners, officers and directors of the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies, and the people living in the same household as any of them.
4. Retail Customers Only
This is a retail customer promotion. Purchases made on or through any of the following do not earn entries and do not count toward the prize:
- contractor, trade, builder or wholesale accounts;
- any account on a contractor, trade, volume or other discount pricing tier;
- commercial, multi-unit or bid/tender projects;
- purchases for resale.
The Sponsor decides, acting reasonably, whether a purchase is a retail purchase. A person who holds an excluded account may still enter by mail under Rule 6(b).
5. Eligible Purchases
An "Eligible Purchase" is a retail purchase of goods or services from TUDS in Regina, in Saskatoon or at tuds.ca, invoiced to a retail customer during the Contest Period and either:
- (a) paid in full during the Contest Period; or
- (b) a signed contract for a future build (for example, a spring 2027 build) on which a deposit is paid during the Contest Period.
One invoice, not total spend. Each Eligible Purchase is valued on its own invoice. Its "Invoice Amount" is the pre-tax total of that single invoice, less any amount refunded or credited against that same invoice, as recorded in the Sponsor's system at the time of the draw. Payments made toward one invoice (for example, a deposit and a final payment on the same invoice) count as one invoice.
- Separate invoices are never added together, even if they relate to the same project.
- For purchases under 5(b), the Invoice Amount is the pre-tax value of the signed contract, as long as the contract has not been cancelled.
The winner's "Winning Invoice" is their single Eligible Purchase with the largest Invoice Amount.
6. How to Enter
(a) With a purchase. Each Eligible Purchase automatically earns one (1) entry in the name of the customer on the invoice. No other action is needed.
(b) Without a purchase (mail-in). Handwrite an original letter of 50 to 100 words on the topic "What my backyard means to me." Include your full name, mailing address, phone number and email address, and confirm you are the age of majority. Mail it with enough postage to:
TUDS 10-Year Giveaway
141 4th Ave East
Regina, SK S4N 4Z9
Each mail-in letter that meets these rules earns one (1) entry. Letters must be postmarked by December 31, 2026 and received by January 15, 2027. Photocopied, printed, mechanically reproduced, illegible or incomplete letters are void. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected mail.
Entry limit. Each person may earn a maximum of one (1) entry per calendar day, by either method. Entries made using multiple names, identities or email addresses, or by any automated means, are void.
7. Prize
There is one (1) prize.
- If the winner has Eligible Purchases: an amount equal to the Invoice Amount of their Winning Invoice, up to a maximum of $10,000 CAD.
- If the winner has no Eligible Purchases (mail-in only): a $250 TUDS gift card.
Examples:
- $5,000 deck invoice, then separate $200 and $50 invoices: prize is $5,000.
- $5,000 deck invoice, later $150 refunded against that invoice: prize is $4,850.
- $5,000 deck invoice, later a separate $150 return transaction: prize is $5,000.
- $12,000 invoice paid as a $4,000 deposit plus an $8,000 balance: prize is $10,000 (maximum).
- $6,000 fence invoice in May and a $9,000 deck invoice in October: prize is $9,000.
The prize is based on the winner, not on which of their entries is drawn. The approximate maximum retail value of the prize is $10,000 CAD.
The prize will be paid by cheque or e-transfer. If the Winning Invoice is a contract under Rule 5(b) that is not yet complete, the Sponsor may apply the prize as a credit on the contract balance. The prize must be accepted as awarded, is not transferable and cannot be exchanged, except at the Sponsor's discretion.
8. Draw
On April 5, 2027 at approximately 2:00 p.m. CST, at 141 4th Ave East, Regina, SK S4N 4Z9, one (1) entry will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
9. Contacting the Winner
The Sponsor will try to contact the selected entrant by phone and email up to three (3) times within five (5) business days after the draw. If the Sponsor cannot reach them in that time, or they do not meet these rules, the entrant is disqualified and the Sponsor may draw another entry.
10. Skill-Testing Question
Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, without help, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question by phone, in person or by another method chosen by the Sponsor.
11. Declaration and Release
The selected entrant must sign and return the Sponsor's Declaration and Release form within ten (10) business days of receiving it. The form confirms they meet these rules, accept the prize as awarded, and release the Sponsor from liability relating to the contest and the prize.
12. Verification
All entries and Invoice Amounts are subject to verification against the Sponsor's sales records. The Sponsor's records decide the Invoice Amount. Entries that are incomplete, fraudulent or do not follow these rules are void.
13. Publicity
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that the Sponsor may use their name, city of residence, photo, voice and statements about the contest in advertising and publicity, without further payment, unless prohibited by law.
14. Privacy
Personal information collected for this contest is used only to run the contest and award the prize, and as otherwise described in the Sponsor's privacy policy at tuds.ca. The Sponsor will not send marketing messages to mail-in entrants unless they separately agree to receive them.
15. Limitation of Liability
The Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged or misdirected entries or mail; for errors in sales or computer records; or for any technical, postal or human error. By entering, entrants release the Sponsor and its employees, officers, directors and agencies from any liability for loss, damage or injury arising from the contest or the prize, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Sponsor Rights
The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the contest or breaks these rules. If the contest cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control, the Sponsor may modify, suspend or end it, and may award the prize from eligible entries received up to that point. The Sponsor's decisions on all contest matters are final.
17. Social Media
This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or Meta. Entrants release those platforms from any liability relating to the contest.
18. General
The contest is governed by the laws of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If these rules conflict with any advertising or other contest material, these rules prevail. Questions: info@tuds.ca.
