Kool-Ray Hex/Tec Screws 1-1/4" (50pk)

Hex/Tec Self-Drilling Screws (1-1/4", 50pk) are the longer-length fastener for structural Kool-Ray Pillar attachments — primarily post-to-deck and post-to-stringer fastening through the integrated base plate.

Where to use them

• Post base plate to deck framing (typical residential install)
• Stair Post base plate to stringer or bottom tread
• Heavier accessory mounting where the 1/2" length isn't enough engagement

Verify local code requirements for post fastening — some jurisdictions require structural lag bolts (¼"–⅜") for guard posts on raised decks. The 1-1/4" Hex/Tec is suitable for non-guard installs and for surfaces where structural lags would split the substrate.
