Barkman warranties their concrete products for the lifetime of your home against structural failure (cracking, breaking, breaking down). Colour-fade and minor surface efflorescence are not warranted — that's normal for any concrete and can be addressed with sealing. Sealing isn't required but extends colour vibrancy. Hairline cracks or chipping caused by improper installation, vehicle traffic on pedestrian-rated pavers, or de-icing salts are not warranted.

Yes. Barkman manufactures to CSA A231.2 — the Canadian standard for freeze-thaw resistance in segmental concrete pavers, which mandates a minimum 28 freeze-thaw cycles with less than 225g/m² of mass loss. Barkman test units exceed this. The bigger variable on Prairie failure is install — base depth, polymeric joint sand quality, and edge restraint. We'll walk you through that for free in the showroom.

Yes — we carry the full Barkman catalogue at both TUDS yards. Most popular SKUs (Roman 8×6, Holland, Broadway 600×600, Keystone Compac) are typically available within 1–2 weeks freight from Steinbach. Less common SKUs and full pallets ship direct-to-project from the Manitoba plant. Either way, we coordinate the freight and delivery — call either yard for a real ship-date on your specific list.

For pedestrian patios: 4–6" of compacted ¾"-down crusher base + 1" of ASTM C33 bedding sand. For driveways: 8–12" of compacted base + 1" bedding sand. Edge restraint (plastic or aluminum) is mandatory — it's what keeps pavers from migrating sideways under load and freeze. Polymeric joint sand goes in last and locks everything against ant infiltration. Barkman's official install guide covers it in detail (linked in the docs section above).

Yes — we ship Barkman LTL freight across Canada from either TUDS yard, and the Manitoba plant can also ship direct-to-project for larger orders. Most of Western Canada has a Barkman dealer, but if you want one-stop coordination with hardscape + decking + railings, TUDS is often the easier call.
