Kool-Ray Pillar Stair Post w/ Cap

The Kool-Ray Pillar Stair Post anchors the top and bottom of every stair railing run. Slightly taller than the standard mounting post to accommodate the stair-rail slope, with the same 2.5" extruded-aluminum profile and pre-installed colour-matched cap.

Stair post specs

• Profile: 2.5" × 2.5" extruded aluminum, square section
• Heights available:
  • 40.5" — for stair flights with 36" rail height
  • 46.5" — for stair flights with 42" rail height
• Cap: included, pre-installed, colour-matched
• Base plate: integrated, designed for stair-tread or stringer surface mount

Finish & durability

• 100% extruded aluminum — sturdier than PVC or wood, will not warp, crack, or splinter
• Baked-enamel electrostatic finish — bonded at the molecular level, resists chipping and UV fade
• Maintenance-free — never needs paint, stain, or sealant
• Available in Black Pebble (textured matte) and White (gloss)

Stair install

Each stair flight uses two stair posts — one at the top (anchored to the deck rim or framing) and one at the bottom (anchored to the bottom tread or landing). Pair with Kool-Ray Pillar 36" Sections; the section's pivot spindle fittings adjust to the stair angle on site.
