Kool-Ray Pillar Mounting Post w/ Cap

The Kool-Ray Pillar Mounting Post is the structural anchor for every Kool-Ray Pillar railing run. Each post ships with its decorative cap pre-installed — pair it with the Aluminum Base Cover (sold separately) to wrap the base plate fasteners and finish the install cleanly.

Post specs

• Profile: 2.5" × 2.5" extruded aluminum, square section
• Heights available:
  • 37.5" — for 36" rail height
  • 43.5" — for 42" rail height
• Cap: included, pre-installed, colour-matched
• Base plate: integrated, drilled for surface-mount fasteners (not included — use Hex/Tec Screws or structural lag bolts per local code)

Finish & durability

• 100% extruded aluminum — sturdier than PVC or wood, will not warp, crack, or splinter
• Baked-enamel electrostatic finish — bonded at the molecular level, resists chipping and UV fade
• Maintenance-free — never needs paint, stain, or sealant
• Available in Black Pebble (textured matte) and White (gloss)

What's required to complete the install

• Aluminum Base Cover 2.5" — sold separately; covers fastener heads on the base plate
• Hex/Tec Screws (1/2" or 1-1/4", 50pk) — colour-matched fasteners, sold separately
• Spindle Fitting (2pk) — accepts the spindle ends; sold separately for replacement or non-standard installs

Use one mounting post per railing run end, plus one between every section (max 60–72" post-to-post centre depending on section length).
