Kool-Ray Pillar Spacer

The Pillar Spacer is a small aluminum block used to maintain code-compliant spindle spacing when a Pillar section has been custom-cut on site. The spacer slips between adjacent spindles inside the rail channel to lock spacing at exactly ≤4" — the maximum opening allowed by NBC 9.8.8.5 / IRC R312.1.3.

When to use it

• Custom-cut sections — when a section is shortened on site, the cut end may have spindles that need to be re-spaced
• Replacement spindle — pairs with a spacer to lock the new spindle at the correct centre-to-centre distance
• Service repair — re-securing a loose spindle while preserving code-compliant spacing
